DESCRIPTION:Reina Galanes\, volunteer and Board Member with End of Life Choices California (EOLCCA)\, will provide an overview of how EOLCCA helps Californians understand and successfully navigate their legal end-of-life options. The presentation covers options available to terminally ill Californians\, with a focus on California’s End of Life Option Act (EOLOA) — also known as medical aid in dying (MAiD) — and voluntarily stopping eating and drinking (VSED). Discussion will include the importance of advance care planning and key planning documents: the Advance Health Care Directive\, Dementia Directive\, VSED Directive\, and POLST (Physician Orders for Life-Sustaining Treatment). \nThis is an invitation-only event hosted by AlmaVia of San Francisco.
