SUMMARY:Advance Care Planning Mini-Session
DESCRIPTION:Kris Kington-Barker\, volunteer with End of Life Choices California (EOLCCA)\, will lead a 20-minute presentation on the importance of advance care planning — and why putting your wishes in writing before a health crisis is one of the most meaningful gifts you can give yourself and your loved ones. The session walks attendees through key planning documents\, including the Advance Health Care Directive\, Dementia Directive\, VSED Directive\, and POLST (Physician Orders for Life-Sustaining Treatment)\, with practical guidance on how and when to use each one. \nThe presentation also provides a brief overview of the full range of legal end-of-life options available to terminally ill Californians\, including California’s End of Life Option Act (EOLOA) — also known as medical aid in dying (MAiD) — and voluntarily stopping eating and drinking (VSED). EOLCCA provides unbiased education and support to help Californians navigate these options with clarity and confidence. \n  \nThis is a private event for members of Rotary Club of San Luis Obispo de Tolosa.
