DESCRIPTION:Pacific Beach/Taylor Branch Library: Open to the Public    January 30\, 2024 1 PM\nThis presentation first demystifies the terms and documents used in Advance Care Planning such as Living Will\, Durable Power of Attorney\, and Advance and Dementia Directives.  The process of Advance Care Planning helps people consider what is most important for their life and for their health care and to be able to talk with family\, friends\, and medical providers about their wishes. \nThe overview of End of Life Options will briefly describe choices such as discontinuing or declining medical treatments\, palliative care\, hospice care\, voluntarily stopping eating and drinking (VSED) and California’s End of Life Option Act\, also called Medical Aid in Dying (MAiD). \nPresenter:  :  Judy Schnack\, Volunteer for End of Life Choices California (EOLCCA) \nQuestions: Contact\, Speaker@endoflifechoicesca.org \n——— \nEnd of Life Choices California’s mission is to provide Californians the information and support to successfully navigate their legal end-of-life options.  Relevant topics include Advance Care Planning; the California End of Life Option Act (EOLA); eligibility requirements for Medical Aid in Dying (MAiD); and Voluntary Stopping Eating and Drinking (VSED)–a legal option in all 50 states.
