Karen Morin Green is an Oncology and Hospice RN whose healthcare experience spans more than three decades. She began her health care career in Radiology at Georgetown University Medical Center and later worked in clinical applications for the manufacturers of CT and MRI equipment. Upon completing her nursing education in Los Angeles, Ms. Morin Green worked in an AIDS Care unit before moving to the Oncology and Bone Marrow Transplant Center at Cedars Sinai Hospital in Los Angeles. She has extensive experience as a home hospice nurse and began at weSPARK Cancer Support Center in Sherman Oaks, at its inception. As the Oncology Resource Nurse for the Center she facilitated the metastatic and caregiver support groups. She currently serves on the weSPARK Board of Directors.
Ms. Morin Green was the Southern California Team Leader of the End-of-Life Volunteers for Compassion & Choices, the nation’s oldest, largest, and most active legislative advocacy organization working to improve care and expand choice at the end of life. She made numerous presentations to community groups as well as medical and hospice organizations as an End of Life Educator and Patient Advocate. She currently serves as President of the Los Angeles Guild of Planned Parenthood Los Angeles (PPLA) and is also a member of PPLA’s Board of Directors.
