MAiD – What Hospice Volunteers Need to Know

October 15 @ 3:00 pm - 4:00 pm
By the Bay Health logo

Sue Gess, volunteer and Board Member with End of Life Choices California (EOLCCA), will lead a presentation designed for hospice volunteers. The session provides a comprehensive review of California’s End of Life Option Act (EOLOA), also known as medical aid in dying (MAiD), from both a legal and clinical support perspective, equipping volunteers with the knowledge they need to care for patients and families through their end of life choices.

EOLCCA serves as an unbiased resource for end-of-life professionals and their clients, offering education and support across the full range of legal end-of-life options in California. Attendees will leave with a clearer understanding of their role in supporting patient autonomy and the free resources and support EOLCCA provides to staff and patients alike.

This is a private, hybrid event for volunteers of By the Bay Health. To request an in-service presentation for your workplace, email speaker@endoflifechoicesca.org
