Sharp Hospice – MAID Support & Anticipatory Grief

Mary Abbott (Bereavement Group Coordinator) and Shannon O’Shea (Volunteer) with End of Life Choices California (EOLCCA) will discuss the resources and support provided by EOLCCA for hospice patients. Their presentation will also focus on supporting patients who choose California’s End of Life Option Act (also known as medical aid in dying), addressing the anticipatory grief that patients’ loved ones experience, and describing how EOLCCA’s Bereavement Group for navigating grief after medical aid in dying differs from other bereavement groups.
