THE ELEPHANT IN THE ROOM: Advance Care Planning & Understanding Your End-of-Life Options

November 20 @ 10:00 am - 11:30 am
Entrance to Morro Bay Senior Citizens Center

What end-of-life options are available to you or a loved one in California and how do you navigate them? End of Life Choices California (EOLCCA) volunteer Jeannie Palermo will answer those questions in a presentation covering legal end-of-life options for terminally ill Californians. Topics include California’s End of Life Option Act (EOLOA), also known as medical aid in dying (MAiD), and voluntarily stopping eating and drinking (VSED). The session also addresses advance care planning and essential planning documents, including the Advance Health Care Directive, Dementia Directive, VSED Directive, and POLST (Physician Orders for Life-Sustaining Treatment).

This presentation is free and open to the public.
