End of Life Planning (including MAID and VSED)

Reina Galanes (Board member) and Rita Mason (Volunteer) with End of Life Choices California (EOLCCA) will provide an overview of how EOLCCA provides Californians with information and support to successfully navigate their legal end-of-life options. They will cover these options, focusing on California’s End of Life Option Act, also known as medical aid in dying (MAID), and voluntarily stopping eating and drinking (VSED). Discussion will include the importance of advance care planning, including the Advance Health Care Directive, Dementia Directive, and VSED Directive.

This event is hosted by Full Circle of Living and Dying and will take place at Foothills Compassionate Care Hospice. It is open to the general public.
