Sonoma County Section on Aging – End of Life Choices

The Sonoma County Section on Aging is dedicated to providing resources, support, and advocacy for older adults in Sonoma County. The Sonoma County Section on Aging is a coalition of agencies, organizations and individuals concerned with the well-being of older adults and the education of members. This network alliance advocates for and promotes the development, coordination, and implementation of older adult services in Sonoma County.
Susan Gess, Board member with End of Life Choices California (EOLCCA), will discuss the importance of sharing your values and end-of-life wishes with loved ones; legal end-of-life options; and the resources and support provided by EOLCCA. Legal end-of-life options in California include stopping unwanted medical treatments; palliative care; hospice care; voluntarily stopping eating and drinking (VSED); and California’s End of Life Option Act, also known as medical aid in dying.
