Where there’s a Will, there’s a way

dragonfly represents legacy giving

Before you miss it, August is Make-A-Will Month. You may have received a similar notice if you’re a supporter of any nonprofit organization and we join them all in encouraging you to create or update your financial and healthcare planning this month.

It is recommended that you review your will, advance directives, and related documents every three to five years.

Our website has multiple resources to help you along, from information and templates for Advance Directives and Living Wills to conversation starters to have with family and physicians about your end-of-life decision.

As a supporter of EOLCCA, please consider including End of Life Choices California in your estate plans. Now completing our first five years of operation, we’re planning for our next five, ten, twenty years and beyond. Your support makes our continuing strength a certainty.

Our legacy group – the Dragonfly Society – recognizes supporters who have included End of Life Choices California in their estate planning. This can include a bequest in your will, naming EOLCCA as a beneficiary of your life insurance policy or retirement account, among other options.

Our growth these last two years in particular has been exponential – we are now answering hundreds of inquiries annually, attending dozens of Medical Aid in Dying deaths, and raising awareness to thousands more through our media outreach and Speaker Program. We do this with a bare-bones staff and a dedicated cadre of volunteers who donated over 3,500 hours of time in 2023!

If you have already made provisions to include EOLCCA in your estate plan, please let us know! We’d like to say thank you, and send a small token of our appreciation for your commitment to sustaining our work.

If you would like to become a Dragonfly Society member and help ensure the future of our critical work, please contact Mark Greenberg with any questions.
